Parking at The Club
The Engineers Club does not maintain a parking facility and can not be held responsible for availability nor damage to vehicles.

Members Park Free and Easy
Members of the Engineers Club can park for free (as available) at The Peabody Court Hotel Valet or at the Walters’ lot when dining at the Club

Valet Parking Service: The Peabody Court Hotel at the corner of Mt. Vernon Place and Cathedral Street, employs a cadre of valets. The cost is $15 daily.

Central Parking Lot: The Walters Art Museum makes use of the surface lot on the corner of Cathedral and Centre Streets. Guests of the Club may get their ticket validated here and pay just $6, rather than the full daily rate of $12.

Street Parking: It is commonly thought that there is a shortage of parking around the Engineers Club. However it is the availability of parking that makes it so easy for folks to attend events at the Club. Whether attending a mid-day meeting, the fabulous Lunch Buffet, evening events, Thursday Pasta Dinner, or nightly Fine Dining; parking is quick and easy. While everyone knows parking is available on the street, from Peabody Court Hotel valets, and discounted at the Walters; a longtime member let us in on a little secret, there is plenty of metered parking around the Club.

“I have found metered parking to be quickest and you can save a couple bucks too. I head right to Centre Street or Park Avenue. Both streets are one way, Centre heads east and Park north; this may be why we have been able to keep these spots secret till now. Centre, a block south of the Club has numerous metered spots from the Walters to the Maryland Historical Society (0-200 blocks). There are more spots available on Park Ave., one block to the west of the Club near the Historical Society (500-700 blocks).”

“You have to feed the meter quarters until 6:00 p.m. but you can park for two hours for two dollars. There is no parking on Centre St. between 4:00-6:00 p.m., but Park Ave. is not restricted. After 6:00 it’s free, now that’s hard to beat.”
