SUPPORT FOR FUTURE ENGINEERSThe ESB Education Foundation (ESB-EF) supports Baltimore Metropolitan area high school engineering students seeking financial aid for continued education in the engineering fields. The ESB-EF provides scholarships and low-interest loans to future engineers enrolled in ABET approved programs.
Eligible students may apply via online application within the deadline period (generally January-March). Once received the ESB-EF Board of Trustees reviews all applicants and selects finalists for interviews. Awardees will be notified after all interviews are completed. The ESB-EF and its Associate Societies award up to a dozen scholarships and loans each year and varying monetary values.
National Engineers Week is always the Sunday through Saturday week which encompasses George Washington's actual birthday of February 22nd. The Engineering Society of Baltimore hosts educational events and activities all week with Baltimore's most prominent engineers and technology educators promoting a variety of engineering disciplines to students expanding to include a Maritime Day, Cyber Security, and a Trade/Technical Day.
The Engineering Society of Baltimore presents annual awards to the Baltimore engineering profession during National Engineers Week in the following five (5) categories: Engineer of the Year, Young Engineer of the Year, Project of the Year, Business Firm of the Year, Meritorious Service to the Engineering Profession.
