RESTORING AND PRESERVING OUR HISTORYWelcome to the prestigious and historic Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, the crown jewel of Baltimore's gilded age and the home of The Engineering Society of Baltimore. The Mount Vernon landmark epitomizes the early nineteenth-century architecture of elegance, opulence and grandeur. The Garrett-Jacobs Mansion is dedicated to the care and maintenance of its illustrious history as one of Baltimore's most distinctive historic homes.
The mission of the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion Endowment Fund is to preserve and restore the Mansion as a National Historic Landmark and to share the history, architectural and civic legacy of the Mansion for the benefit and education of the public.
Experience the history, prestigious architecture, and civic legacy of the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion by attending one of our events, tours, or fundraisers.
Upcoming EventsWe're delighted to share our stage—literally—with local performing arts organizations through our Artists-in-Residence Program. The Mansion hosts and supports a limited number of small performing arts groups for the enjoyment of their audiences, reminiscent of Mrs. Garrett's turn-of-the-century soirees. Our current Artists in Residence include: The Unified Jazz Ensemble, the Atlantic Guitar Quartet, Opera Baltimore, and Live Arts Maryland - which includes The Annapolis Chorale, Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, Bach+ Consort, and Cantori.
Learn More About Our ArtistsOur goal is to develop ideas to increase visibility and usage of the facilities, history, and architectural significance. The Board of Trustees works in conjunction with the ESB to execute programs and campaigns which promote the Garrett-Jacobs Mansion.
